Objective

The student is able to assess and evaluate the client`s/athlete`s position and movement, including uncontrolled movement, also to use tests of differential diagnostic and utilizise clinical decision making to find risk factors.He or she can do a physiotherapy plan for the client/athlete based on evaluation and clinical decision making and to do documentations. The student is able to guide therapeutic exercises progressivly to a client/athlete and to use different therapy elements in an appropriate manner, and to direct the activity based on ergonomics. He or she
knows how to apply evidence-based methods of influence in an individualised manner in musculoskeletel impairments and sports welfare.

Content

Supporting a client with Musculoskeletal impairments through assessment of differential diagnostics, analysis of movement and clinical reasoning. The application of the fundamentals of various therapeutic methods applicable to Musculoskeletal physiotherapy in exercises and under guidance in sports injuries and disabilities of the spine, and the upper and lower extremities. Methods based on mobility, stability, disorders of motor control of movement, and ergonomics are emphasized in exercises and guidance. The basics of orthopaedic and traumatological physiotherapy.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Exellent (5) In the skill test student has exellent knowledge, assessment, therapeutic and guiding skills and conclusions that are drawn are well-founded. He or she is reasoning very well, his/her working is based on the theory also he/she can create new solutions and functions in a construc-tive manner and to do documentations.
The student takes ergonomics into account while working, and is capable of constructive self-and peer evaluation. In written tasks the student provides the most appropriate theory and conclusions, shows an ability to describe and explain phenomena of the subject matter critically through personal reflection, by utilizing very well evidence-based sources in a versatile and appropriate manner. The student follows very well the success of the physiotherapy. The student follows very well the JAMK reporting instructions.

The student has difficulties to take consider of ergonomics things while working, and he or she is partly capable of constructive self-and peer evaluation. In written tasks the student provides only few theory aspects and conclusions, shows some ability to describe and explain phenomena of the subject matter through personal reflection, utilizing evidence-based sources insifignificantly. The student follows partly the success of the physiotherapy and also partly follows the JAMK reporting instructions.
