Objective

Students know the basis of their own field of expertise and are able to consider how it can be applied in practical work. Students understand and can explain the phases of evidence based occupational therapy. Students can search for current information and research about occupational therapy. Students are able to evaluate the quality of the evidence.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

PASS
Student understands and can apply evidence based practice in occupational therapy. Student recognizes a possible clinical problem in occupational therapy and can formulate a research question based on it. Student searches for current information and research about occupational therapy. Student is able to evaluate the quality of the evidence. Student's written and oral presentations meet the given instructions. Student demonstrates ethical and critical thinking. Student follows given assignment timelines.

Fail:
Student does not understand the basic concepts of evidence based occupational therapy and knowledge about ebp process is insufficient. Ethical and critical discussion is lacking.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

PASS The student has mastered the basic knowledge of occupational therapy and evidence based practice. He/she is capable of independent knowledge acquisition and learning. The student focus on problem from occupational therapy practice. He/She can formulate key terms for data searching and search a research article from at least one database. The article is focusing on occupational therapy. The student is able to use different ways to find, modify and represent information to other students. The students report and oral presentation is based on giving assignment. The student has ethical and critical principles in her/his task. The student submit her/his task at giving time.
