Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to measure properties of various physical systems and analyze them mathematically. In addition, the student masters basics in technical reporting and has observed physics phenomena in practice. The student deepens his (her) analytical measurement knowledge and reporting.

EA-KN: The student gains readiness for performing measurements and technical reporting for the field of technology
EA-IV EUR-ACE Investigations: Students are able to carry out investigations on mechanical phenomena based on lab measurements.
YHTOP Learning skills: The students can evaluate the gained results critically utilizing calculators, tables and information technology. They are able to share their own learning and apply their technical reporting skills to other studies.

Content

Carrying out measurements and basics in technical reporting. Measurements of oscillating motion, mechanical and electromagnetic wave motion, thermal radiation of heat and basic quantities of electromagnetism.

The course contains studying physical systems by measuring, analysing their results mathematically and learning of basics in technical reporting.

The course may contain degree programme oriented measurements.

Qualifications

The knowledge acquired in courses TTZM0400 Physics 1 and TTZM0600 Basics of Physics, mechanics, oscillation and wave physics
