Objective
The students are able to describe the process of export planning and the central elements of export strategy. They know how to collect market information aand make a market analysis on a chosen EU country, as well as to assess this country as a potential export destination from the perspective of a given branch or company.

The role of market analysis in planning export; collection of market information, evaluation methods of market potential; implementation of a market research; basics of the operations of EU common market; industry in the EU; European consumer and retail trade
Qualifications
The students master the principles of the planning of export and the logics of market research.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Assessment criteria: (1) student's ability to collect relevant market information above all from foreign-language sources; (2) student's ability to report findings in written market analysis reports clearly and according to project reporting instructions; (3) critical approach to the information found, as well as to its sources; (4) student's ability to assess the suitability of a chosen EU country for an export destination of a branch or a company.
