Objective
The student can describe the planning process of export operations and the main aspects of the export strategy. He/she can acquire market information and prepare a market analysis of a given EU country and evaluate its potentials as a target market from the viewpoint of a specific field or company.
Content
The role of market analysis in planning export operations; acquiring market information; methods used in the evaluation of potential markets and how to design a market analysis; the EU as an internal market; the industries in the EU; the European consumer and retail trade.
Qualifications
The student knows the principles of planning a company's export policy and understands the logic behind market research.
