Objective

The student understands the logistic processes and the role of logistics in business operations. The student also has a general view of internal material flow as a part of a company's logistic process. He/she is also knows common modes of international transportation and their usability for various kinds of transportation needs.
The student also understands the procedures involved in export and import operations and is able to carry out these operations in practice.
Ability to assess processes and make decisions involved in
developing international, i.e. export/import operations,
focussing on supply chain management and to explain the
meaning and application of key logistical concepts.

Content

Basic concepts of logistics, materials handling processes, including warehousing and packing; road, rail, water and air transportation. : Export/ Import documentation, Customs clearance, International Delivery and Payment Terms, Legal Issues
