Objective

The student understands the role of marketing communication in the overall strategy of a firm. The student is able to identify the elements of the promotional mix and the role of agency operations. He/she is able to develop a promotional strategy and promotional material for small and mid-size companies and communicate effectively, such as exchange information within campaigns and present the findings.

Managing marketing communications, Branding, formulating strategy, targeting audiences, using technology, communication mix, how advertising works, course project: promotional campaign

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

A clear description of competence at different levels:
o excellent (5)
o The student shows excellent command on the subject area and concepts, the project schedule has been student-led and followed excellently. The student demonstrates the ability to apply the theory to real-life situations with superior communication skills.
o good (3-4)
o The student shows good command on the subject area and concepts. The project schedule has mostly been student-led and followed at a good level. The student is able to communicate about the subject area in real-life situations in an effective way.
o satisfactory (1-2)
o The student shows only weak and unclear command of the subject area. The project schedule has been only partly student-led and followed satisfactorily. The student fails to show a convincing ability to apply the knowledge to real life situation nor to communicate the subject area in an effective manner.
