Company Information Management (3cr)

Objective

The students familiarise themselves with the utilisation of IT in different sectors of company operations in different periods. After the course they understand that the use of IT does not mean only the utilisation of technology - it is an integral part of the development of the entire company’s business activity. Moreover, the students are able to organise and participate in the acquisition processes of IT systems.

Content

Data processing in different periods, a company’s overall information system, managing an enterprise and the need for information systems, management information systems, acquisition of information systems.

Assessment is based on distance assignment and exam.
