WWW Application Development (7cr)

Objective

The students master the production of a website/ web service as a whole. They are able to use server-side programming techniques. They know the principles of usability, user interface design and network communication. They understand the significance of WWW services from the perspective of business economy.

Content

The basics of web application development, e.g. usability and user interface design. Client-side programming (JavaScript), server-side programming (PHP), and the use of databases (PHP and MySQL) in connection with server-side applications.

Qualifications

Basics of programming, basics of databases, HTML and CSS, basics of image processing

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The final assignment is assessed based on the scope, usability and documentation of its implementation.
