Guidance and Counselling Skills (6cr)

Objective

The students possess basic skills for guiding and advising computer users. They understand the principles of guiding adult learners and are able to treat the learners as individuals. They are also able to utilize modern learning environments and pedagogical solutions.

Content

- Adult's learning.
- Design and implementation of a software training course for an individual and for a group.
- Face-to-face and distance guidance and group guidance project
- Evaluation of learning material and learning sessions
- All communication during the course, assignments & assignment reviews and part of the learning material, implemented in the virtual mode.

Qualifications

The students are able to use basic software and to produce material for a virtual learning environment.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5): Student understands principles of adult learning and knows how to apply them and available technique creatively in guidance sessions

Good (3-4): Student understands principles of adult learning and knows how to apply them and available technique in guidance sessions
