Objective
The students have general knowledge of different domestic legal systems, understand the Finnish legal system, and know the sources of the Finnish constitution.
After a successful completion of the course, the students understand the key contractual, legal processes and legal requirements involved in the formation and implementation of music industry agreements. They master the general principles related to European competition laws and to European recording and music publishing business.
Content
The course will focus on a practical approach to music publishing and the exploitation of rights in compositions, examining revenue flows in the publishing business. The course will review and place the topics within the framework of the European Community and the European judicial structure.
