Objective
The students command the entire gamut of situations and tasks involved in the teaching of their instrument at the basic levels. They know the available teaching material and repertoire suited for those levels and are capable of appraising the usefulness of published material.
Content
The thematic of teaching. Lesson planning and implementation, long term teaching planning, evaluation and suitable material.
Qualifications
The students have the ability to guide in their instrument students and ensembles of elementary and music institute lower levels over extended periods. They are acquainted with the teaching material and repertoire available for the levels mentioned and are capable of appraising the usefulness of published material.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Supervising teacher evaluates work. Areas of evaluation: general impression, musicianship, appraisal skills, reciprocal interaction skills, command of work habits, skills in individual guidance, ability to provide guidance in independent work, long term planning ability, advancing of own skills and those of their students. The students take part in their evaluation through self-evaluation.
