Content

Acquaintance is made with diverse styles of pop/jazz music through playing the repertoire on one's main instrument.

Workshop 3, two to be chosen among e.g.
- fusion workshop
- soul workshop
- piano/voice workshop
- song workshop
- ethnic music workshop
- advanced jazz workshop

Qualifications

Good command of main instrument, ability to make transcriptions and knowledge of pop/jazz music styles.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Praiseworthy 4 - Excellent 5

The students command the workshop's music style field and are capable of performing excellently on their own instrument. They are acquainted with the style's main composers and artists. They command the style's musical elements and are able to impart knowledge if need be.

Good 3

The students are able to play their main instruments according to style and to form part of diverse ensembles. They command the stylistic features of pop/jazz and know the main repertoire of diverse styles and their artists.

Passable 1 - Satisfactory 2

The students are able to play in ensembles and manage on their main instrument in diverse playing situations. They take part in contact teaching and complete the assignments satisfactorily.

Fail 0

The course is failed when the minimal requirements are not met.
