Bioenergy and Society (3cr)

Objective

The students know the position, significance and opportunities of bioenegy in the Finnish society, and especially in the development of vitality and regional economy of rural areas.
The students know the most important organisations and authorities that promote and research bioenergy. They know the Finnish energy strategies and the programme for promoting renewable energy, and also other significant national development programmes related to bioenergy. They also understand Finland’s international position and commitments. The students know the most significant funding channels and conditions in bioenergy entrepreneurship and development projects.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the forms of bioenergy, their use and production

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
