Objective

The students know how to find sufficiently reliable information on the needs and characteristic diet of a given client group (different age groups, special diets). They can plan and implement catering services in compliance with the nutritional needs of the client group in question.

Content

The nutrition of children, adolescents, and seniors; the implementation of special diets according to recommendations in catering services.

Qualifications

The students know the basics of nutrition and the nutritional situation of Finns. They understand the significance of a healthy diet for increasing the wellbeing of clients. They aim at implementing nutritional recommendations in their tasks.
