Objective
The students are able to form an overall picture of the challenges of organizations operating in foreign environments. They can assess the economic effects of tourism locally, nationally and internationally. They understand the relationship between tourism and the environment, and recognize the effects of environmental change in the sectors of tourism, also understanding the importance of a versatile knowledge base in international markets. They know how to systematically find new information supporting marketing decisions.
Content
Tourism as part of global economy (on micro and macro level), international tourism marketing, the PESTE model, development of business activity, the effects of tourism on the cultural and natural environment, eco-tourism, the limits to tourism growth, environmentally responsible activities.
Qualifications
The students know the basic concepts of tourism and understand the business nature of the branch.
