Objective
The students develop a professional view of the growth into parenthood and recognise the effects of pregnancy, childbirth and family formation on individual family members and their interrelations. They can recognize resources and risk factors involved in the formation of motherhood and fatherhood, support early interaction, and master the empowerment of a family.
The students master the theoretical knowledge base of family training and can comprehensively utilise research data on the family when planning and developing maternity and family training. They can critically analyse their own counselling skills. They get personal experience of entrepreneurial activities and the interaction and networking skills required for collaborative entrepreneurship.
Content
Building an identity of motherhood and fatherhood. Parenting, early interaction. Family resources and risk factors. The helping methods used to support parenthood and early interaction. Family training.
Qualifications
The professional studies of the Degree Programme in Nursing 114 cr.
