Objective
The students create the knowledge base needed for the promotion of health and wellbeing of a pregnant woman and her family. The students know the observation, examination, counselling and nursing methods of a pregnant woman and the foetus. They have the competences needed in family-centered and empowerment-oriented counselling, support and nursing. The students know the potential disorders of pregnancy as well as related interventions. They can use the methods of trauma work when encountering families in crisis.

Pregnancy health care. Complications during pregnancy. The methods of trauma work.

The professional studies of the Degree Programme in Nursing 114 cr.
