The Care of a Pregnant Woman and Family, Practical Training 1 (11cr)

Objective

The students can independently plan, implement and evaluate the counselling and care of a pregnant woman and her family. They have a command of midwifery-related pregnancy surveillance and nursing methods. The students recognise complications in pregnancy and are responsible for their treatment together with the team. They support and counsel families in their growth to parenthood. An empowering approach, family orientation and family health promotion are emphasised in their activities.
