Postpartum Family Care, Practical Training (6cr)

Objective

The students can independently plan, implement and evaluate the postnatal care of a mother, her family and infant as well as the individual counselling that respects the values and authority of the family. The students support the self confidence of the mother and father in their growth into parenthood, in the success in breast feeding and in the care of the child. The students recognise complications of the postpartum period and are competent to take care of the family in these situations.
