Objective
The students can independently plan, implement and evaluate the health counselling and care of a pregnant woman and a family with children. An empowering orientation, family orientation and family's health promotion is emphasised in their activities. The students can support and counsel families in the promotion of sexual health and in family planning. They know the health care-related surveillance and care methods of a pregnant woman and the foetus. The students recognise complications during pregnancy and are responsible for their treatment together with the team. They support and counsel families in parenthood and in their growth as parents. The students have a command of family and empowerment oriented methods of children's health care and health promotion.
Content
Physical examination, pregnancy surveillance, and empowering health counselling and guidance. Family training and group activity. Baby positivity and breast feeding training. Supporting parenthood and early interaction. Planning, implementation, evaluation and development of sexual health promotion. Multiprofessionalism and networks in family health promotion.
