Osaamistavoitteet

The students know and understand the individual and societal preconditions and starting points for the promotion of elderly people's health and functional capacity. They can focus attention to the special needs of an aging client and respond to them by means of nursing methods. The students can assess the health and functional capacity of the elderly. They are familiar with the diverse services available to the elderly and able and motivated to develop the quality of these services. The students cooperate with the client and the relatives, as well as with the networks of elder-care providers.
