Introduction to Slavic Cultures and Languages (2cr)

Objective

On completion of the course, the student will be familiarised with the most important concepts related to Slavic cultures, identities, and languages.

Content

After completing this course, the student will be able to:
-understand the basic differences and similarities between Slavic cultures
-be familiar with some of the everyday phrases in Slavic languages
-have a basic idea about the everyday life of Slavic countries
-critically approach and discuss intercultural differences.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Passing the course requires completion of all required assignments (5 knowledge quizzes and a final assignment). The students are expected to actively participate in class and to come prepared (readings and videos). An 80% attendance requirement is applied.
