Objective

Objective
After completing the course you understand the fundamental concepts of Linux operating system and are able to work as well as manage the operating system using a text-based interface.

Content

Content:
- structure of file system
- basic commands of the file system
- access permissions
- auxiliary programs and tools
- package management
- process management
- user management

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass/Sufficient 1:
The student knows the fundament concepts and practices of Linux operating system and is able to use the basic commands.

Satisfactory 2:
The student understands the meaning of use rights in Linux OS and is able to apply the use rights in the management of file systems.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good 3:
The student is able to utilize the most essential Linux OS tools and manage the programs.

Very good 4:
The student understands the meaning of processes in Linux OS and is able to manage processes and services.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent 5:
The student understands the meaning of user accounts and groups in Linux OS and is able to manage the user accounts. Additionally, the user is able to apply use right definitions to user accounts and groups.
