Psychology (3cr)

Objective

The students are familiar with the developing human being active in the environment. They understand the significance of life stages for the formation of individual resources and risk factors. They can assess the factors maintaining and harming mental health and functional ability within the framework of their own professional field. They have the readiness to recognize and support clients needing psychological help. Based on their practical theory, the students are able to anticipate the changing needs of people of different ages.

Content

The main approaches describing human development. Learning, social relations, identity, personality and coping strategies as contexts of development. Developmental risks and disorders at different ages. Therapeutic interaction enhancing mental health.
