Technical Mechanics (4cr)

Objective

The students can calculate supporting forces in different static structures and determine stresses for dimensioning according to strength of materials. They are also familiar with the basics of dynamic phenomena, and can apply them to the dimensioning of mobile structures.

Mass point balance, balance of rigid body, lattice structures, stresses, basics of dynamics, the energy principle

Qualifications

Solving systems of equations, mastery of force and moment balance
