Osaamistavoitteet

The students master the comprehensive implementatiom of a design project by exploiting project working methods. The students know how to exploit the knowledge acquired in other courses in the implementation of the project.

A project related to machine design

Esitietovaatimukset

The students have the basic knowledge of the strength of materials and they are able to static sizing of structures with the help of manuals and sizing table cases. The students know the most common machine components and their connections and they know also the sizing and choosing principles of machine components. The students are able to choose the appropriate materials for a structure. The student can make workshop- and assembly drawings and they master also 3D modelling and producing workshop drawings from a 3D model. The students understand the progress of a design project and also the importance of the manufacturing and economic factors in product design. The students are able to utilize standards as design support.

Excellent (5) the student has attained the objectives of the course at an excellent level.
Good (3-4) the student has attained the objectives of the course at a satisfactory level.
Satisfactory (1-2) as a rule, the student has attained the objectives of the course.
