Advanced Academic Writing and Professional Presentations (5op)

Osaamistavoitteet

The students are able to give formal and informal presentations in English both on work-related and academic topics as well as write academic documents with proper formal style.

Sisältö

Different kinds of presentations, oral exercises with the video camera, audiovisual aids, business texts with exercises. Academic writing as opposed to other writing tasks. Exercises on different aspects of academic writing: layout, style, formality, textual, syntactic and lexical aspects and referencing.

Esitietovaatimukset

The students have the basic skills and knowledge for interaction across cultural and linguistic boundaries. They can interpret and produce factual texts, and have a good command of the basic terminology and communication in their own fields of expertise.
