Objective
The students understand the significance of procurement as part of the business of an organization or network. They know the significance of needs management, cost management, agreements and legal issues in procurement. They are able to work as persons in charge of acquisitions in an organization, utilizing the possibilities offered by procurement in business operations.
Content
Procurement and related definitions. Needs management. Strategic procurement. Cost management. Contracts and business relations. Legal issues and electronic commerce.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Assessment criteria: 1) active class participation; 2) ability to work in groups and present results orally and in writing; 3) quality of the written assignment of independent study; 4) exam based on lectures and literature. A pass requires 44% of the total score, excellent 90% of total score.
