Future Product Technologies (5cr)

Objective

The students understand the course of technological development and are able to assess the effects of the introduction of a technology. They broaden and deepen their know-how in specific subareas of product technologies

Content

The development of technologies and the utilisation of new technologies. The development of material technology. The development of machine structures (honeycomb structures and composite constructions). The development of machine control systems. New user interface technologies. The development of machine tribology.

Qualifications

The students understand the significance of technology and its development for business activity.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assessment is based on the following criteria: 1) active participation in contact classes; 2) ability to cooperate in a group and present outputs orally and in writing; 3) the quality of the written output included in independent study. A pass requires 44% of total points, ‘excellent’ 90% of total points.
