Basics of Environmental Protection (3cr)

Objective

The students know the principles of sustainable development and the key concepts of environmental protection and nature conservation, as well as the major problems within their own field. They are familiar with their professional and personal possibilities to influence the state of the environment.

Content

The concept and history of environmental protection, attitudes to the environment, nature conservation, environmental problems, sustainable development, exploitation of natural resources.

Qualifications

Basic concepts of ecology and the operation of the ecosystem.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Teacher's assessment, self-assessment and peer assessment;
active participation.
