Objective
The students can use the basic tools of bitmap-graphics-type image editing software, such as Corel PhotoPaint, Photoshop or PaintShopPro. They are familiar with the production of tecnically and visually high-quality graphics.
Content
Technical formation of images, image transformations and editing, such as resolution, choice of size, cropping, accentuation, special effects, file format choice, and saving. Scanner and digital camera, use of images produced with them, production of images from different source materials. Creation of images for e.g. web pages (logos, buttons, backgrounds).
Qualifications
The students master basic computer use, e.g. opening and saving files, and basic terms of IT.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Assessment criteria for assignment: correct and versatile use of image editing features and the saving of images in different formats.
Exam: the use of graphics software according to given instructions, e.g. saving of images.
