Osaamistavoitteet

Students • understand the importance of activities that promote and maintain health for the growth and development of children and adolescents • know the stages of growth and development of healthy children and adolescents, how to monitor them and any developmental abnormalities • are familiar with the principles of promoting sexual and reproductive health • understand the normal progress of and the practices for monitoring and health promotion during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium • know how to support families in becoming parents and taking care of a newborn • are familiar with the principles and practices of child welfare

RPL 8/2025: Recognition of prior learning is only possible if the student has a previous nursing degree or equivalent higher education studies leading to a nursing degree.
