Alliances are an essential and cost-effective way for high-growth companies to reach international customers. This course will present a full set of dynamic and affordable partnership alternatives, much more actionable than the traditional going-global options (expensive acquisitions or slow ”solo” growth).
The first part of this course will focus on the most relevant international alliance modes, ranging from joint ventures, international alliance networks and strategic alliances, to the more basic partnerships (franchises, outsourcing alliances and business model-based agreements)
The second part of this course will cover alliances / partnerships that require a specific organizational structure, in order to achieve maximum focus. The key structures covered will be: international subsidiary redesign, spin-offs, split-offs and split ups. Participants will receive strategic tools for assessing the most convenience alliance and structure type. As well, participants will get practical implementation frameworks for managing these alliances and lead effectively their core teams.
