The course is implemented flexibly as online studies. So you can study successfully anywhere mostly according to your own plan and schedule. With a group and individual guidance, you get support to solve the problems and complete exercises and a development assignment.
The course utilizes digital and interactive tools. E-learning includes e.g. online discussions with a group or teacher, assignments and tests in an e-learning environment to assess and develop your own skills and learning, video lectures and self-study of source material.
E-learning is suitable for self-directed students who are interested in developing their own skills. The wishes of the student group are taken into account in the implementation methods. In addition, as a group of students, there is guidance in an e-learning environment and you can participate in online meetings of your choice. If you wish, you can also make appointments on your own and do learning assignments together, advising and receiving help and tips from other members of the group.
The study material is in JAMK's Moodle e-learning environment. In addition, you need literature.

The studies are flexibly implemented as distance studies in a web-based learning environment, comprising independent and team-based online assignments, webinars, online lectures, presentations and seminars. You can freely choose elective studies from the other master’s degre programmes offered by JAMK.
Students have a choice of alternative or elective studies offered by partner universities in Finland and abroad, such as other universities of applied sciences (CampusOnline), universities and educational institutions involved in the EduFutura collaboration (University of Jyväskylä and Gradia). Higher level studies completed elsewhere may be accredited as part of your degree. The student must have a certificate or some other document to prove that they have completed the studies. Skills acquired elsewhere can also be described and demonstrated to enable accreditation. Further information is available in the Study Guide.
In accordance with the principle of recognition of prior learning and experience, you can identify what you already know, which allows you to apply for accreditation based on such competence (see Degree Regulations, Section 17). You may have acquired prior learning, or you may acquire it during your studies, in many different ways by studying in another institution of higher education, by working or by engaging in project or volunteer work.
The learning assignments included in the courses can be completed in the student’s own work community. Many work community development tasks can also be taken up to be planned, refined and resolved as learning assignments and projects.
It is possible to build a personal study path for the studies through studification of work and a wide utilisation of the courses offered by JAMK’s master’s degree programmes.
The thesis is a research-based working life development assignment.
