Objective

The object of the course
The purpose of this course is to familiarize you with the core tasks in your future occupation, practice these tasks and become more certain in your professional direction. Practical training gives an opportunity to apply and develop gained skills and competences in work life.

You recognize vocational learning objectives based on your Personal Learning Plan.
You are able to act responsible as a member of work society.

Teaching methods

Moodle for training includes instructions on how to prepare for training. Moodle will open for you when you sign up for training. You can register in the autumn of the 2nd year, even if you go on an internship later.

Previous training
The training guidance starts in the hops discussion and training info during the spring semester.
In connection with the selection of the trainee and place, you will receive guidance from the orientation officers and the trainee officer.

During training
At the internship, you will receive guidance from a designated training instructor in connection with your work.
You can get feedback on the internship in the guidance discussion from the trainee supervisor and Jamk's instructor (teacher).
You do self-assessment in the learning diary throughout the internship.

At the end of the trainee
Certificate of employment and appraising feedback from the trainee supervisor.

Student workload

The duration of the student working hours is 800 h, which means approx. 5-6 months of the trainee agreement.

Content scheduling

The training can be done in one or two parts.

Further information

Performance evaluation: approved/rejected
Before training: plan and contract.
During the internship: working in the company, learning diary and guidance discussion at the beginning of the internship.
At the end of the trainee: self-assessment, a certificate of employment and appraising feedback from the training instructor.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

The assessment is based on learning objectives and quality, and self-evaluation by the student plays an important role in the process. The learning outcomes are assessed in relation to the learning objectives of the course.

Qualifications

Basic studies and approximately 60 credits of vocational studies. It is recommended that the training be carried out at the end of the studies.
