Teaching methods

This is a day-to-day implementation, so studying contact lessons together supports independent study. In the learning environment, students study using video lectures, videos and written material. Contact lessons cover theory, assignments and practical work in the course content. The student receives feedback on each completed assignment. At the end of the course there is a course exam.

Employer connections

The course includes a cultivation plan and a crop rotation plan, which can be done either on the model farm or on the right farm.
The course includes a visit to the farm(s).

Exam schedules

The course exam will be held in April 2023, 1st retest in the beginning of May 2023 and 2nd retest in the end of May 2023.

Student workload

The course covers 135 hours of student work. 55 hours of this are devoted to contact teaching (including exam) and visit to the farm(s), the rest being spent on independent study.
The course may have overnight study trips, which may incur costs for students.

Further information

The grade of the course is determined by continuous assessment, ie the assignments to be returned are evaluated. Exam is 30% of grade.
