In this course you learn to identify and respond to the patient's needs through fundamental nursing interventions.

You recognize the basic needs of patients and respond through basic nursing interventions to these needs in a safe manner using evidence-based practice. You have a broad understanding of the patient's basic needs and can reasonably respond to them by analysing patient's individual situation. You can offer extensive justifications for the interventions with the help of evidence.. You understand the principles of ergonomics and are able to apply them. You understand the basic principles of asepsis as part of nursing. You are able to apply ethical principles in nursing and understand their importance as part of professional encounters. You know how to deliver basic first aid.
