Objective
To understand basic static problems, to solve forces and moments in two dimensional systems, to understand meaning of trusses, the idea of point load and distributed load.
To understand rotational motion in dynamics, laws of motion for rotating bodies, solve basic problems of rotation, moment of inertia etc.
EUR-ACE Knowledge and Understanding:
To gain understanding of theory and practical problems in statics and dynamics.
The students gain the ability to use mathematics and physics skills when solving statics and dynamics problems (TELNA).

Statics:
- Equilibrium of rigid bodies
- Axle weights of vehicles
- Frames and Machines
- Forces in beams
Dynamics:
- Laws of motion for rotating bodies
- Angular and rotational motion equations
- Moment of inertia
- Torque
- Mass of center
- Steiner’s formula
- Rolling resistance
