Objectives

The students understand the operating principles of a steam boiler plant, role of the fuels, combustion process, structure and operation of a boiler, and the most important factors affecting the operation economy of the plant.

Prerequisites

Power Plants Technics, Basics on Thermodynamics, Heat and flow engineering, The students understand the significance of energy use and production for industry, especially from the viewpoint of efficiency and economy. They also understand the basic thermodynamic theory and its structure and concepts, and the basics of the major flow and heat power processes.
