    Learning outcomes of the course
    Preventive maintenance and its planning are an important part of the operations of a modern production plant.

    In this course you will learn to identify the development targets and starting points for preventive maintenance. You will learn to recognize what RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) means and what are the steps of RCM. You will also learn to take advantage of maintenance research information.

    First you will learn the basic concepts of maintenance, like the maintenance types and the methods and operations of the maintenance. You will learn to apply different kind of maintenance methods in practice.

    After completing this course, you will understand the importance of modern production plant maintenance. you will also understand the possibilities of the RCM method in maintenance planning.

    ENGINEERING PRACTICE
    You will gain the ability to apply and further develop a different kind of preventive maintenance methods as needed.

    KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
    You can identify the development targets and starting points for preventive maintenance for the systematic development of operational reliability in a production plant. You manage the steps of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).

    MULTIDISCIPLINARY COMPETENCES
    You know how to share your own expertise and use the expertise of others to your advantage in developing industrial maintenance.

    JAMK`s CampusOnline -course Preventive maintenance (TK00BJ53) or corresponding knowledge.
    Course contents
    Identification of maintenance development targets. Backgrounds to the RCM method. The main content and steps of RCM. Carrying out the RCM process.
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria, passed/failed
    Approved: You will master the concepts and methods of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and be able to apply them to solutions to industrial maintenance challenges.

    Failed: The student's competence does not meet the requirements for approved performance.
