Objective

Student can analyze and develop purchasing as part of the business development. Student can apply appropriate analyzing methods for current state analysis and decision making as well as for creating development plans. Student understands the development potential both on operational and strategic level.

Content

The main content will include
- systematic development of purchasing as part of the business development
- analyzing methods incl. spend-analysis, ABC-analysis, portfolioanalysis, value analysis, tail management
- purchasing process development
- performance measurement

Teaching methods

Opintojakso toteutetaan verkkototeutuksena. Opintojakso koostuu oppimistehtävistä, jotka voi suorittaa pääsääntöisesti ryhmissä. Kurssi toteutetaan Moodle-oppimisympäristössä.

Tällä verkkomuotoisella opintojaksolla ei ole tenttiä.

Student workload

Itsenäinen työskentely 5op opintojaksolla on laskennallisesti 135 opiskelutuntia.

Opintojakson oppimistehtävät arvioidaan kuukausittain ja niistä tulee palaute oppimisympäristöön opintojakson vastuuopettajalta.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1-2)

Sufficient (1): Student has gained knowledge of course objectives but faces challenges to utilize them in practice.

Satisfactory (2): Student has gained knowledge of course objectives and can utilize them partly in practice.

Arviointikriteerit, hyvä (3-4)

Good (3): Student has gained understanding of course objectives and can utilize them in practice.

Very good (4): Student has attained very good level of course objectives and can apply them into practice.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): Student has attained an excellent level of course objectives and can apply them into practice in innovative manner.

Qualifications

Basics of purchasing. The students are able to find information independently and to prepare reports. They have the basic knowledge of logistics processes.
