Objectives
EUR-ACE Engineering practice: Student understands the role of purchasing as part of the company's strategic management.
EUR-ACE Engineering Analysis: Student can develop purchasing holistically as part of strategic management.
EUR-ACE Transferable Skills: Student sees the potential and the risks of purchasing in relation to strategic business objectives.

This is a virtual course. The learning will happen through the literature and the material in Moodle/Optima.

Course assessment is based on assessment criteria from learning objectives. Assignments 1-4 are assessed with grade 0-5 (assignment 5 pass/fail) and the course grade is the average of those assignment grades (rounded to nearest whole grade).
Every assignment needs to be passed at least with grade 1 (or pass)

Prerequisites
Basics of purchasing. The students are able to find information independently and to prepare reports. They have the basic knowledge of logistics processes.
