Objectives

The students master concepts and methods included in optimization and simulation. The students can formulate a problem arising from working life in the form of an optimization task or simulation study and they can solve the problem by using a computer.

Content

Linear and non-linear multivariable optimization task; basics of network theory; optimization task in networks; phases of simulation study; basics and use of queue formation; analysis of input and output data; use of computer programs.

You have achieved the desired goals. You know most of the concepts and methods and how to apply them in new situations showing in most cases the ability to reason completely and calculate flawlessly.

Excellent 5
You have achieved the desired goals. You know all the concepts and methods and how to apply them in new situations showing always the ability to combine things, reason completely and calculate flawlessly.

The student knows probability distributions and can use Excel.
