    Learning outcomes of the course
    Object:
    Supply chains are playing a major role in the operation and success of organisations. Development of e-commerce has had a great impact on material flows and the digitalisation of organisations has brought challenges besides opportunities to the supply chain management. It is important to understand this recent progression. Complex and long supply chains includes several operators and roles. Supply chains require monitoring and control as well as cooperation between the organisations. The different perspectives of several factors and operators needs to be considered in every phase of a supply chain.

    Target:
    Student understands the basics of supply chain management as well as the importance of cooperation and transparency of information. Student understands the role of procurement, production and distribution as a part of supply chain.

    Content:
    - Supply chain management, transparency and collaboration
    - Role of procurement in a supply chain
    - Role of production in a supply chain
    - Distribution as a part of supply chain
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
    1: Student understands the basics of supply chain management as well as the importance of cooperation and transparency of information. Student understands the role of procurement, production and distribution as a part of supply chain.

    2: Student understands what is supply chain management and the importance of cooperation and transparency of information. Student understands the role of procurement, production and distribution as a part of supply chain.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    3: Student understand the entity of supply chain management and the impact of cooperation and transparency of information to the supply chain. Student can link the roles of procurement, production and distribution as a part of supply chain.

    4: Student manages the entity of supply chain management and has a skill to utilise cooperation and information transparency in supply chain tasks. Students manages the roles of procurement and production. Student manages the transformed role of distribution in a supply chain management.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    5: Student manages the entity of supply chain management and the influence of cooperation and information transparency to supply chain tasks. Students can apply the roles of procurement and production. In addition student manages the transformed role of distribution in this entity.

    Planned learning activities, teaching methods and guidance

    The course is offered as two face-to-face learning days and two half-day virtual Zoom lectures. Self-study, group discussions and group works (during the lectures) as well as two learning assignments are also part of this course.
