Objectives

The student
• masters the overall assessment of the client's state of health, defining the need for symptomatic treatment, assessing the severity of symptoms, clinical treatment and health promotion methods
• apply a special level of competence in customer-oriented planning of palliative and hospice care based on the individual needs and situation of the patient and his relatives
• critically evaluates and utilizes interventions developed to promote patient and medication safety, and can explain the importance of risk management in the context of palliative care.
• dominates the demanding comprehensive clinical examination of the patient (including consideration of health-related physical, psychological, ethnic and cultural perspectives).
