Objectives
The purpose of the course is to increase understanding of the principles of health promotion. In addition, it is intended that participants will understand meaning of systematic planning and evaluation for population level health promotion actions, as well as the importance as part of the health promotion activities of public, private and non-governmental organizations.

The student is able to apply the key health promotion models and approaches to individuals, communities, organizations and local authorities in the development of health promotion, coordination, planning and evaluation. The student is able to evaluate her/his own health promotion expertise, and its development as well.

The student is able to apply critical health promotion models and approaches to individuals, communities, organizations and municipalities in the development of health promotion, coordination, planning and evaluation. The student is able to combine different sources of information-derived information. The student is able to evaluate critically material of health promotion strategies, planning and evaluation. The student is also able to evaluate critically her/his own health promotion expertise, and its development.
