Objective

Course extends basic curriculum offering to independent development task and projects, which may be given by the faculty, Civil Engineering industry or even student own proposals.

When you have fulfilled given requirement your project, co-operation and professional skills develop. Before starting the course, agree with couch the project, supervising, initial credits and reporting issues. Main principle is that 26,6h work gives one etcs credit. Project can be for example competition from Civil Engineering field or internal/external project or part of project given by JAMK. The course can be used also for other works if agreed with JAMK Civil Engineering staff.

You will learn project, team dynamics and co-operation skills. You will learn study and execute time-dependent works and fulfill agreed requirements. Increasing skill might vary depending the type project

Content

The requirements, content, workload and supervisor must be agreed before starting the project. The project can be civil engineering project, competition, project or equivalent task. Course develops your civil engineering professional skills.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Project meets minimum requirements but work quality is poor or results are unreliable.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Project requirement, work quality and results overrun expected ones and customer is satisfied.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Project requirement, work quality and results overrun expected ones and customer is very satisfied.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Project meets requirement and work quality is good and results are reliable.

If project works is assessed with credits 0-5, criterias will be defined in the beginning.

Further information

If workload of student or project results deviate from agreed in the beginning, supervisor can credit less or more ETCS credits of the course.
