Objective

The students know the pedagogic planning process of early childhood education using ECE plan. They know
goals, contents and methods of early childhood education. Students can plan, evaluate and develop activities taking into account the child's participation, learning and supporting development of the child in the group. The students are able to implement a variety of theoretical approaches and working methods in an appropriate way and to assess their success.

Content

Early childhood education plan, methods and forms of working in early childhood education, observation, supporting and evaluation of children's learning and function, media education, alternative pedagogues.

Full-time studies: Contact study and seminars, online studies, individual assignments.

Student workload

The students know and are able to do early childhood educational planning process. They know implementation of early childhood education plan. They are able to plan, evaluate and develop their activities, taking into account the child's activity, participation, learning and support the development of the group. The students are able to analyze different theoretical approaches and apply working methods appropriately and evaluate them. In written assignments, they show excellent capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and to consider them critically.
Very good (4)
The students know early childhood educational planning process. They recognize implementation of early childhood education plan. They are able to plan, evaluate and develop their activities, taking into account the child's activity, participation, learning and support the development of the group. The students are able to analyze different theoretical approaches and apply working methods appropriately and evaluate them. In written assignments, they show excellent capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and to consider them critically.

The students know early childhood educational planning process. They identify the key principles of early childhood education plan. They are able to plan, evaluate and activities, taking into account the child's activity, participation, learning and support the development of the group. The students know different theoretical approaches and knows working methods appropriately and evaluate them. In written assignments, they show capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and to utilize sources. The students participate in contact lessons and the conversations in online environment and they have completed the given assignments.

The students know early childhood educational planning process. They know partly supporting principles of child´s activity and participation. The students know different theoretical approaches and knows working methods. In written assignments, they show modest capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and they utilize sources very little. They have completed the agreed assignments satisfactorily.

The students know early childhood educational planning process. They know partly the supporting principles of child´s activity and participation. The students know partly different theoretical approaches and working methods. In written assignments, they show modest capabilities to describe the subjects of the course.

Qualifications

The students know the basic concepts of early childhood education, legal papers regulating early childhood education and the operational environments of early childhood education. They also recognise the main characteristics of under school aged children's growth and development. The students can plan activities that support development, growth and learning to under school aged children.
