Objective

The students:
•is able to make use of scientific and evidence-based information in decision-making in nursing.
•understands the basics principles and concepts of nursing
•is able to identify the client’s/patient's nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with the decision-making process
•understands the importance of nursing documentation and related legislation

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass:The student:
•explains the bases of nursing and the main concepts in nursing.
•has the ability to search for evidence based information from key nursing databases,
•demonstrates how to do nursing documentation as required by legislation.
•identifies the client’s/patient's nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with the decision-making process

Fail: The student does not meet the course objectives.
